You'll play a key role in developing solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Finland, making a direct impact on the growth of renewable energy in the region. Your Job
- Manage and coordinate the development of greenfield and brownfield projects from land acquisition through to financial close.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with external advisors to apply for and secure permits required for land-use planning.
- Plan and coordinate grid connections with TSO/DSO, internal grid teams, and external advisors.
- Communicate with internal teams (e.g., portfolio management, engineering, legal) and external stakeholders, including municipalities, authorities, and advisors.
- Provide support to your team, offering guidance and a helping hand when needed to ensure smooth project execution.
Your profile
- Proven experience in solar, BESS and/or wind project development.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Having experience in working with landowners and land-use planning is a plus, and being open to engaging with landowners as necessary based on project needs is important.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the demands of an evolving project landscape.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in both Finnish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders; Swedish would be a plus.
- Explore Finland through occasional travel, which will constitute about 10 to 15% of your time, based on the exciting needs of our projects.
